hi all,
I've been around fords all my life.
and have had quite a few.
Here is the vin of my newest purchase

type gvw- F262
body- DD4
trans- K
axle- 37
DSO- 1980
any info would be great!

yep, that looks right,
when I tried the decoder it said
1970 f250 4x4 with 302 2bbl, build date april 1970 (door tag states 01/80)
not sure why?

the guy I purchased it from said his father in law ordered the p/u new as a heavy duty 3/4 ton,claiming he had them install an extra leaf in each spring.(looks pretty stock as I can tell) it does appear to have a factory tranny cooler though, wich is a plus. the GVWR is 8000lbs other then that it looks pretty plain jane. thanks for the info.
