Full Size Bronk seat problem
Hey everyone!
This is my first post, I just joined. I have an 88 fullsize Bronk. I have owned it for 20 years this month. Take care of it mostly myself with a little help from my local garage.
For the first time I went to the local Ford dealer and found out a particular part I needed is no longer in production. Duh, what a surprise, I knew it would happen sooner than later now. My truck is all original with only genuine Ford parts installed except for the usual battery, brake pads and so on. I swear it is so!
Recently the right side (there are two, left and right) seat mount for the driver side Captain bucket cracked and I need to replace it. Delaer no longer carries it. I went online and I can find the track which is affixed to the seat and is bolted onto the mount, but I cannot find the mount. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find a new replacement? I will consider used if it is able to be sanded and painted, no rusty stuff. I am beginning a slow restoration process. Actually not much to do, she runs sweet with 200K, no blow by and still gets 16+ on the highway with OD. Body is SoCal with no rust and is ready for paint and a few new shiny things.
