2001 - Largest Tires and Wheels

I always thought the 16 inch'ers look a little small compared to the wheel well on these trucks. Newer models have 18-20 inch wheels.

What is the largest wheel/tire combination can I put on my 2001 crew cab without a lift?

Can I get a little taller tire on the stock rims and accomplish something there as well (ie...without having to purchase new wheels as well)

I think 305s are as big as you can go on stock rims. You need to be careful cause the stock rims are only 7" wide.

I personally don't like a 285 on a 7 inch wheel, but thats just my opinion. I ran 305's on 16x10's with no rubbing when I was at stock height. I've heard of guys spacing the bumpers out and running 315's, but they look goofy and if you have stock wheels they will rub on the springs. Currently running 37's with my 6.5 inch lift.
