Welcome to Tucson, coming to DM? (12th or 355th?) I've retired but back as a GS been there for 5 years now. Haven't really had any problems with my 01 so can't really recommend any place, except the IH place has good prices on filters , CPS, etc, Checkers give 10% military discount so I get the oil from them, Wally World has the best local price on Motorcraft filters. One word to the wise though, DO NOT take the truck to Jim Click Ford (22nd/Wilmot) close to the base. I took my rig there a couple of times for oil changes and they will always try to sell you something else and both times they"forgot" to lube up the truck until I ponted out to them that 01's have zerk fittings. Finally, my wife is a real estate agent so, if you're looking to buy or need any local advice let me know

355th OSS is where I will be, I dont remember performance diesels being a big deal down there like they are here, but we will see, i do recall seeing a few last winter when i was there on vacation though. and you mean Jim Crook ford.
ya, i remember him he no different than Cal Worthington. Let me know if you need anything advice wise or help with. by the way what range egts do you run there summer and winter.

Summer: On the hiway without the horse trailer running about 5-600. Stock exhaust with a 75HP chip. With the trailer, 8-900 sometimes a little less.

Winter: about 100 less on both

Cal Worthington, boy that brings back memories of Sacramento back in the early 80's

didnt they kick him our of california all together, now he owns half the crap in alaska. go figure.
We need to work on that exhaust when i get there. when i did my 4 in. turbo back i dropped about 150 deg. towing in a 40 tow tune. and the turbo spools up faster too.

Welcome to the lower 48! If you come through Las Vegas on the way to Tucson, plan an overnight at the Circus Circus KOA right on the strip. The wife and I will be hanging out there for 6 weeks beginning on 11/29. I'll buy you a beer, and pass on some sure fire ways to win at black jack! We'll also probably spend some time in Tucson during Feb.
