fuel milage
ok i have an 87 f250 4x4 ext cab with a 6.9 and a c6 what gears would have came in this? it gets about 10-12 mpg all the time with fuel gettin high i need to do something. Whats ya'lls opinion thanks justin

the tag says 3.55s it dont have a tach but it revs pretty high at 60 it tops out at about 75-80mph i filled it up last night and im averaging 10.25 mpg i put a new fuel and air filter on it and i run cleaner in it. it gets aroung 10 no matter what i do pull a trailer exc.

Check the calibration of your speedo with maybe a GPS or one of those speed radar trailers the police set up roadside. I know mine is off which effects the odometer. For every 10 miles I've actually went 11 miles. So for 220 mile on the gauge I've really went 242. So at 15 gallons to refill I'm getting 16.1 MPG not 14.6 mpg.
See what I mean. Also things like bad injectors, pump, or hard on the pedal will fluctuate MPG's alot. If I'm on it around town I'll drop down to 13mpg. but cruise set with rpm 2500 or less, I'll get the 16+mpg.

the speedometer is right i checked that last week with one of the deals that tells u if your speeding or not. the terrain is pretty flat here i keep my foot out of it. it idles good it dont smoke it runs about 190 degrees
