I'm about to snap!!
I don't think I've ever been this mad in my entire life!! I bought a 26" widescreen Sony Bravia TV today (KDL26M3000 is the number), the thing cost me $798 and it doesn't work!!!! The stupid piece of **** keeps turning itself on and off and the only way I could get it to stop was by unpluging the thing. Anybody ever had a problem like this? What did you do to fix it, Besides shoting it with a shotgun (which I'm want to do, but luckily I don't own any guns)

Thanks!!!!!!!!!! That was exactly what was wrong, I owe you big time. Tommorow I'll take the remote back and make them give me a new one. The remote has a 90 day warranty but T.V has a 1 Year warranty what the heck is up with that?

Why don't you just take the thing back?
800 bucks sounds way high for a 26 inch anyway.
Heck my 42 inch only was 1200.

800 Canadian is pretty cheap but it was actually 699 before taxes (14%) so in a way it was a pretty good deal

Actually with your dollar almost equal to and perhaps greater than the USD, it's still really expensive. At least compared to TVs here.

Probably difference in picture quality. TV prices can vary greatly.

That's true to, when I was looking at prices they ranged from $500 all the way up to $1000 for tv's around the same size. Brand name adds alot to the price to. What brand is yours BLK94F150?

Yeah, I just looked it up and it is really expensive.
The specs aren't all that either. Personally if it's defective, I'd take it back and get another one.

I'm not trying to start anything here but here's a link showing the selection of tv's that size at the store I bought it from
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/subclass.asp?catid=23518&mfr=&logon=&langid=EN&sor t=0&page=0&list =
It's the only real electronics store close by besides best buy which is owned by the same company so prices between the two are about the same.
And about the tv I'm gonna talk to store tommorow and see what they will do about it.
EDIT: You've got a plasma the TV I bought is LCD the prices for the two aren't the same

I know mine is a plasma and yours is an LCD.
I was looking at 32 inch flat panels today and you can pick them up for much less than 800.
I guess the problem is that there isn't much demand for smaller flat panels so they sell for more.

That makes sense, this TV is for my bedroom so a 42" might be a little big for the size of the room
