Braided Power Steering Hoses

While replacing my front dust shields and brake calipers I replaced the brake lines with braided hoses. My next efforts are to concentrate on the wandering steering. I replaced shocks and torqued the wheel nuts (not the lug nuts) to the proper torque and that seemed to help some. Next is to adjust the backlash on the steering box. While at it I figured to replace the power steering hoses as the truck does have 110,000 miles on it. Those braided brake lines look so "purdy". So I was thinking about assembling the new power steering hoses out of the correct braided hose. Anyone ever done it?

Brett, where did you purchase your s/s braided brake hoses? Were they for the 73-79 trucks? Been looking for these but have not had any luck. Thanks. Tom

Are you looking for a 4x4 front brake line set? Skyjacker makes both fronts and the rear for 73-79 4x4 trucks. Both 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton (will fit the 79 1 ton also) and your local off road shop should be able to hook you up.
Might also try local hydraulic repair shops, these places can make any hose with any end that you desire. Might even save a few bucks.
