Hello, from a fellow F series owner from Australia, this is my first chat room entry (any chat room). Over the past 25 years I have been the proud owner of a 65 F100, 72 F100 a 75 F250 crew cab (which I imported and converted to right hand drive), a 85 F250 and two weeks ago rejoined the Ford truck owners family with the purchase of a 89 F250 which was originally imported and converted to RHD by Ford Australia for use as an ambulance. F 250's were not sold to the general public by Ford here between 86 and 2000. Last year Ford Aus stopped sale of the current shape F 250 when the supply of the 7.3 litre powerstroke engines dried up. The low number of F series trucks here and their popularity with enthusiasts translates to high sale prices both new (while they were available) and second hand. Over the next couple of months I plan to set up My F 250 to tow my gooseneck race car trailer.
That is very interesting, Most of us here in the states had no idea of the challenges faced down under just to get a Ford truck. We have a lot of members from Australia and getting a group of you together would be great. BTW, you can do that here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum141/
