chassis paint? Well im getting close to painting the chassis of my truck. Im confused on what paint people use for the frame. I dont feel like i should use the expensive paint that ive used on the cab for the frame. Just curious what most people use? Thanks
Eastwoods looks really good. I'm going to use Rust bullet. They have a new black top coat, called black shell, that works with there rust encapulating paint for frames.
I have never painted a frame yet But I just bought Acrylic Enamel to spray my nova frame. My cousin who restores vehicles for a living uses enamels mainly. Either or works.
POR 15 is a good paint and is also sprayable, be sure to ask for the CHASSIS BLACK
the regular blac is not UV resistant and will have a hazy milky look to it after it has been exposed to the sunlight.(I found out from personal experience)
It is on the expensive side to purchase approx 35-45 per quart but is very durable.
And be shur to wear DISPOSABLE GLOVES when applying, it will take awhile to wear off your hands.
And when reapplying the lid after use it is best to place a piece of plastic wrap over the can before reinstalling the lid. I made this mistake of not doing this the first time.

Thanks for all of the tips. I am painting the underside of my truck bed with the POR15. I will get the chassis paint. I am not too worried about it fading because it will hopefully never see the direct sunlight unless something really bad happens.
