I have some 18" Revos and while the tire has been great it seems they are wearing fast. In fact when I bought them they weren't very deep to start with. Well after checking tire rack I found that I started with 11/32 of tread. A similar sized BFG A/T starts with 16/32. Thats a big difference isn't it? But the BFG weighed about 17lbs more per tire also.
Well guys I was just trying to find out why the tread depth on the 18" Revos is only 11/32. Other sizes go all the way up to 16/32. I jsut feel like my tires didn't have much depth to start out with.
My 18" Revos are junk do not buy them horrible on ice and they wear fast. I have nine thousand miles on mine and you start with 11/32 and I am down to 7/32 already. Brought them in and asked "tire expert" how many miles he thought I had on them he said 25000 and at that time they had 8,000. So I told he I wanted new ones they will not do anything till they are down to 3/32 but they will put new ones if they wear down in the first 3 years. Only reason I put them on I could not hold out for the Yokohomas to come out.
Well I am down to 4/32 or so with only 21k miles on them. I think I will run by my store and see what they can do. Heck winter is coming and I barley have any tread left on my new to me tires.

P?
or
LT?
my guess is that you have the P rated tire on a 5,000 + lb truck. I've had the Dueler A/T and M/T before. The A/T is a great tire, and the M/T is even better. I put 10,000 on my M/T's with my Bronco and they were barely worn at all. My sister has them on her 91 Cherokee right now and they've got maybe 30,000 total miles and she could maybe get another 10,000 out of them
I think I have the P rated ones. I remember reading about that and checking when I bought them. I am going to go down to my tire shop and see what they say. I am also bringing proof of alignment. Hopefully this turns out good.
Well, I went to the shop today and 2 of my tires had 3/32 and 2 had 6/32. He allowed me 50% off any tire. Due to budget restraints I went with 275/65/18 Firestone Destinations. $360 for all 4 out the door. They look good and seem to have good ratings on most forums.

my '03 6.0 crew 4x4 got 60k out of my revos, my '01 crew v-10 4x4 had 55k when i got my second set of deulers. i have a spare set of m/t i swap to in winter and i have 40k on those with more to go. when my '07 cc f-150 4x4 needs a set of tires i know what i will be getting. i have been running bridgestones for over 20 years and they are the best tires i have ever run on a vehicle.
