firing order changes

ok. heres what i am planning to do. I have a 1964 ford f100 with a 292 v-8, And i am planning on putting fuel injection on it from a 5.0 manual. which system is best??? mass air or speed density. this motor will eventually get forcd induction so that has to be taken into consideration at the same time. I am gonna build a intake with injector bungs in it, so the injectors is taken care off. I have(for the most part) figured out how to get the TFI ignition to work with this motor but i have one question. the distributor acts like a cam position sensor right?????
I have read that the firing order can be changed in the ecu. what are all the options, to change that firing order, besides the tweecer????? Can a chip take care of that???? thanx guys.
