Mechanical Guages
I just pulled the aftermarket mechanical oil pressure and water temp guages off of my 302 mustang and want to put them on my 4.9.
If I am thinking correctly, the oil pressure sender is at the back of the block on the driver's side, and the water temp sender is at the back, passenger's side. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Are theses senders?...i.e. removing them will only make my stock guages non-functional, or are they sensors?...i.e. removing them will screw up the computer.
I have not looked at the fitting sizes, but should I need to purchase any other fittings, etc, or should parts that fit a small block fit the 4.9?
