Rear disc conversion?

Hi all,

I'm new here...but finding lots of valuable info. I have a '99 F150 5.4l 4x4. I was looking for info on doing a rear drum-to-disk brake conversion. I've seen a couple of aftermarket kits out there...but I've also looked at the stock hardware on a 4wheel disc truck and I'm wondering why I couldn't just swap parts?? Does anyone have any experience with this?
