Did not want to hijack the other thread by Tater17, but came outside this morning and I also had the dreaded green spot.
Although the truck is new to me, it had about 103,000 on it when I brought it. I asked, and the owner indicated that it was the orginal water pump, so I figured I would have to replace it soon. I was just hoping to drive it for a little while first.
I have to work all day tomorrow, then Tuesday morning I have to hit the road. Therefore I guess I going to have to find someone and pay them to replace the pump on Monday. Otherwise I would attempt it myself.
As for next week, I will be out of town, but off. So I am going to give Dieselsite a call and have them ship me the following: Billet Houseing, 203 degree stat, one cooling kit, one shutoff kit, and three filters.
Are there any other cooling system mods, or others, that I should do now?
How dificult are these to do? I will only have my small toolbox with me and will attempt 'on the road'.
