Sorry everyone I was at my fatherinlaws and some how got signed in under him. any how the responses did help and theweb site out of ohio I think is the comp. that I had heard about at Carlisle fall swap. Either way the info will get to the right place so any more ideas on the 6-12 system and the set up wil be helpful. As of now after just getting it back from sand the frame is tore down primed and started to paint. the axels need some seals and all the peices that were salvageable are buffed and primed. the frame of the f-2 reminds me of looking down a set of rr tracks, damn that thing is big... Yes we are salvaging alot that we aren't going to use so ther will be stuff for sale or trade as we go, any thing being looked for let me know.. thanks to all Casey
I kept the 6 volt on my 55. I figure if it was good in 55, why change,
Got the best 6 volt Interstate battery available. Have been running for 3 yrs and no problems sarting or otherewise. I keep a battery tender whenever it is garaged.

Trouble is....it wasn't good in 55 either. There must be a reason no automotive manufacturer uses 6V anymore. Now, 24 volts is coming. Bigger is always better, right? Ask Tim the toolman...he'll tell ya!
