Rough Riding Ranger
My dad's 2000 ranger is rattling his 80 year old teeth. Does anyone know if I can put lighter leaf springs in it or can I remove one of the leafs??? It is a 2wd.

Custom springs front and rear maybe the best solution, I would not take chances with my dads safety not matter the cost. Take a look at companies like this and make you decision on direction.
Taking a leaf out may not change the spring rate.

What do the sway bushings and such, (control arm bushings, encinema, encinema), look like? The bushings on mine are cracked clean through and it beats the crap out of anybody riding. Gonna fix those when I get the cash.

Try new higher end GAS shocks, it may be that the shocks have worn out and aren't taking the harshness out of the suspensoin rebound. If the shocks have never been replaced it may be a great time to do so and see what happens. A good quality gas filled shock runs about $40-60 at any local parts store.
