BMW Diesel ???
I know this is a strange question to ask on a Ford truck site........... But you guys have the widest range of expierience on diesels in general that I know of.
I just bought an 86 BMW 524td (Turbo Diesel) for a back & forth work beater, 281k miles on her, & got a deal I just couldnt pass up, not to mention the 33mpg.
I was wondering if anyone here had any expeirience with one or knew of a good site to get info on this car.

That's the same diesel Ford used as an option in the
84-85 Lincoln Mark VII's. 114 hp and a dry weight of
441 pounds. Didn't sell well, as you might imagine!
Some service procedures might have changed, but
a 85 Mark VII shop manual ought to get you want
you need to know about it mechanically. I've often
thought about one in one of my Maverick's if I could
find one! About the same size as a 200/250 and more
horsepower as well as double the fuel mileage.

Cool I will have to check into that....... thanks.
I will say that even with over 280k miles this thing runs pretty good.
About the only real problem with it is the inj pump needs resealed, it leaks externaly & will loose its prime if the cars sits for more than a day or two.
