i dont have one but when i take my EBPV out i am going to put one on. that housing and the ATS housing are two different things. the ATS unit goes on the intake side and that housing goes on the exhaust side of the turbo.
Is there anyone out there running a 1.0 housing from dpppower.com
Rick2001 - I'm right there with ya. What is this 1.0 housing suppose to do? Would it be worth it to buy the 1.0 and ATS or buy a new TN or Garrett BB turbo? Could you build more than 25 psi safely with this set up?
Apples and Oranges Gents. 1.0 reduces some drive pressure but keeps low end spool up and reduces a little EGTs. ATS shroud gets rid of surge. BB TN or Garrett BB are fast spoolers that most use to clear up bigger injectors with fuel systems.
I hope this helps.
Do some searches....."1.0" "Van Turbo" "ATS Shroud" "1.15" and you'll be up all night

I'm aware. That's why I'm asking all these seemingly simple questions because I can't seem to put all this together through so much information. So let me get this straight... a 1.0 will reduce boost pressure, egt's but allow the turbo to spool up quicker. Am I in the ball park?

Potter, I can see where you are headed. Do not fool with the WW, the ATS, or van turbo. Get the chip in, drive a while, then go bigger injectors if the HPOP is healthy. See me for datalogging to see if that will work. Do not waste money on marginal to be replaced in the future ugrades. The problem with the bigger injectors is that you just ordered DP tunes. You will need new tunes. I do not think you will get a big boost with a new turbo as opposed to new injectors even with the stock turbo. Others will argue but I have this from Beans which you are closer to than I am. Let me know.
Drive the DP tunes when you get them. Very addictive. When that bores you, we go to the next level.
Yes and no... But nothing will keep the stocker alive above 25#'s
Joe is completely correct on this note. and the advice that Mike is giving in the post above is spot on too.
the design of the bearings in the stock turbo is the limiting factor of 25 psi. will the stocker flow more? YES, will it live very long when doing this NO. if you want more boost than the stocker save up and get a bigger hair dryer.
Mike - you got me. I wasn't sure if building more boost was the ticket to more power. Either way I need to experiment with the throttle position, when to let off to avoid surge, etc. So you wouldn't invest in an ATS housing, but save for the bigger, better "hair dryer" (nice BD)?
