John, I never ran mine above 2 anyway because I could not keep the wheels spinning on the 6 liter. I would assume that this would be the same on the 6.4 as well. the 20 hp difference and 10 lbs of torque differences on the highest setting probably do not matter. I really thought this motor would pump out more, even with the new junk they put on it. Thanks for being the guinea pig.
That was not very nice and I had no issues with the 6 gun. I also did not have a torque crap transmission in my 04 which is where the issues came from. For a bolt on system it was better than many I read about in here like the Edge and some of the others. I know you are promoting your own but with the manual tranny, the Banks kit was fine. However, I won't buy another one either.

What do you mean by you couldn't keep the wheels spinning?
The banks is probably okay for manual transmissions , but you would get better more refined tunes from the likes of SCT or DPtuner
Like I said, I had a manual and above the #2 setting I could not keep the rear wheels from spinning when I stepped on it. Again, not an auto. I actually chose banks for the warranty that I had on my 7.3. They backed their product and your truck for any damage they caused. Unfortunately, the 6.0 liter was such a debacle that they stopped doing that. I agree with John, there are probably better chips out there for max HP on that motor. Thats not why I bought it. I still think it is an okay product on a manual transmission. Definitely not on an auto though and as I stated before, still dissappointed in the max HP and torque.
I had trouble with mine, I blew head gaskets with the Six-Gun on my 06. I never had any transmission problems with the 06 either. I made 441 HP with the SCT on my 6.0L last December at the PRI show in Orlando. I put less than 3500 miles on my truck with the Banks and thats what happened, mostly because the Boost Levels were outrageous! I was running 38-40 PSI with the six gun which is entirely too much boost for stock gaskets and bolts.
I also lost the headgaskets and I remember talking with you about this. This is where my faith in Banks went out the window. On the 7.3 they would have paid for it. Not so much on the 6.0 liter. The only rebuttal I have is that we have an 05 that is stock and the headgaskets also went at 50,000. This truck has nothing done to it at all.
Thats odd, I havent heard about many failures of head gaskets on the newer trucks there was an updated gasket and bolts. Maybe yours was one before that change I think it was a mid 05 MY change. My 04 was bulletproof, if it had been a crew cab I never woulda traded it. The 06 really ran well and pulled well, there really was no reason for trading it just wanted to upgrade to the plusher interior. I actually considered a Duramax until I looked at them close. I would definately drive a 07 GMC but the Chebys are hideous with that fungal growth on each side of the bumper. I really like the interior of the Chevy but the quality all around isn't there. But I still couldn bring myself to ditch Ford. I am EXTREMELY happy with my 6.4 I would give it up for the world!
BTW, the DMAX also had the DPF removed! Who is making a DPF Delete Pipe and Tune for the DMAX!
Please see my last post "What are they Do'in" Nobody seemed to get it, or at least to chicken to reply.
BTW, how does LIVEWIRE Tunes work with regens? do regens happen alot?
The run was with DPF back exhaust and the Livewire, IMHO the exhaust doesnt improve a thing! The DMAX had a EFILive tuner that disabled REGEN. The regen honestly doesnt happen to often in the extreme race tune as long as you dont dog it alot.
Dunno about EGT I wasn't concerned about it. It has never seen above 1250F when I have been ******* it on the highway. I hit 36 PSI of boost on the run but I have pegged the gauge before while towing a long hill.
