Air Springs
What are the pros and cons of air springs mounted inside the rear springs like the Arnott Air Ride kits vs the ones mounted outside the rear springs like the Air Lift Load support kits. Also the pros and cons of drilling vs no drill kits.
I have heard the ones like the Arnott Kits do not control sway and in some cases may even cause it because they are too close together because they are mounted inside the rear springs vs the Air lift that are outsde the springs and add width to the load support.
The ones on the outside, on top of the leaf pack are as wide out as possible and will give the best stability.
No drill kits are easier/faster to install. Drilling takes some time.
I have the Air Lift load assist bags that go on top of the leaf pack. Love the bags, only had to drill 2 holes per side to install them. I've had 2400lbs in the bed and another 600-700 hanging off of the hitch and then leveled it out perfectly...even can keep it slightly azz high like how it sits unloaded.
I don't haul a slide in camper so I have no problem with sway, if you haul a slide in camper then I could see wanting the outboard bags.
