Damn Junior that's awesome news!! You made pretty quick work of that, last I saw you had the entire top end dissembled. Can't believe you didn't drive it tonight!! I wouldn't have been able to contain myself. Report back as soon as you drive it! I wanna hear about those new heads and throttle body.

Oh hell......she's louder n hell and I couldn't git er out cus I had a broke down 82 Bronco (no reverse) and my Fiance's Dodge behind me.......I fired her up this mornin and she idled fer a bit....just long enough for the ECU to scan the system then off she went.....heh heh figgered out I'd unplugged somevacuum stuff that i shouldn't have...just got her goin agin a min ago....found out that (even after I said otherwise) a paper gasket ain't enough to hold in the water on the Thermostat neck...hope I put er in there right....been so long I don't rmember how she goes in.....I know I know pull it out...but I got a 185 superstat.....Woooooo she's a little lopey too and the throttle response is DAMN good...from what I could tell just sittin in the driveway ha ha ha.Still needa play with the timin to where I like it...need to advance it a bit more I think it's probly a tooth off.......I needa make a sound clip like you Ryan.....don't wanna do the 0-60...might make ya look bad ha ha.....I just love the smell of fresh paint burning off the heads.....I'm postin new pics in my gallery as I'm typing this so check out the beast when she's all put back together.....Thanks all

Lol, I haven't posted a 0-60 vid. And in april or may (when the truck comes out of hibernation) I have no doubt I'll be doing ok.

More than anything I wanted to hear how fast she was compared to before out on the road.

nice job man !!! i love the painted valve covers and intake plenum, you should of just leave the 5.8 EFI ford thats written on the plenum the stock color or black.. but its very buetifull now all you need to do is paint the intake tubes the same color
did you just use normal paint? or paint for high temps?

Ha Ha Ha...5.8.....I run a REAL smallblock in my stuff gawd dangit ha ha.....I'm actually thinking about redoing it in black...the chrome didn't turn out as good as I thought...I used regular touch up spray paint for the color...amazingly Advance had the color in stock with a few more cans......That's 3 coats of torreador red and 3 coats of clear glaze on the valve covers my friend......IO coulda sworn it was you Ryan that posted the vid...well then who was it?Maybe it was DJ......anyways.....from what I could tell backing out of the driveway and going around the block, she hauled somethin fierce.......let's just say goind around a corner full throttle I was drifting and smokin em then I hit 60 mph in a 75 yard stretch before another curve........But then I pulled back into the driveway and was rejuvinatedly pissed......I will NEVER EVER spend money on chrome T-handles just cause they dress up the underhood a little bit....I probly lost 3 1/2 quarts within a half mile stretch because the damn things loosened up...I now have all that oil burning off my header engine compartment and bellhousing...But hey...she holds 60 psi at idle and she's lopey....still gotta play with the timing....I just did it by ear this time around......anyways...night all.
