Well congrats to all, but guess what? I was born just 18.7 miles south of you in De Soto! Well the actual birthing process took place in St Louis, but I lived in De Soto until I was 3 years old, then I struck out on my own.

That's right, I almost forgot about that Gene. When I was six my dad took me to De Soto for "ernesteugene day"...it was some fun. I still have the pocket protector and the four-function calculator that I won in the raffle! One question Eugene, when you left was Missouri a state or was it still part of the Louisiana Territory and controlled by Spain?

I remember being told that the nearest doctor was in St Louis, our trip there to bring me into the world was by horse and buggy, but it was well after Lewis & Clark had left the city on their return trip east!
