Looking for other sizes of tires for my Dad's 06 F250.
It has stock on it right now. We have been having a hard time out here in Bush Alaska getting alternate tire size's. He whats a slightly wider tire but not much taller. Any thought welcome. Thks.

 

IIRC the Cooper Discover S/T & S/T-C are studable tires and are available in 265/70R17E, 275/70R18E

I purchased a set of Hankook MT RTO3, they are 285/70/R17 load range D 3200 lbs, studable, 33" tire,,I just had them mounted, balanced and studded this week, was thinking about putting them on today 11/11/07,,,Now I have 2 sets of wheels and tires, truck came stock with 18" polished wheels, w/contis, I purchased a set of 17" Alloys 5 spokes, almost brand new take offs from an 07' F-250,,Had the Hankooks mounted on these,,,,,I tried one wheels on the truck before I bought the tires,,,all OK.

When I picked up the wheels and tires all mounted, I asked the owner of the tire center,,how they came out,,,he said great,,I made a good choice , only thing he said was different on these tires is they take a size 16 stud, and most studable tires take a size 13 stud,,he had'nt seen tires using this size stud in yrs,,there bigger, cost me $5 bucks more per tire.

When I un-loaded them, out of my truck,,I rolled one up to my 18" Contis on the truck,,they were about 1" taller.

I tend to dislike studs. While they do increase ice traction, they decrease your dry pavement traction by over 50%...........but, being in Bethel AK you wouldn't care much about dry pavement traction in the winter.
