rbloodhound - here is the history.
First FORD (I was a CHEBBY man) 2001 Black 4WD 7.3 PSD. Loaded at that time. I only thought that this truck was good.
Second 2003 6.0 The dealership owner that me and my wife had been doing business with talked me out of the 2001 and into a 2003. (I did not purchase the 2001 from this guy cause we did not know his whereabouts so purchased the first one in Tylertown Ms.) I thought I was making a mistake, but did the deal anyway.
The 2003 was purchased back and I was put into another 2003 that was also purchased back. I wanted an 04, but got to looking too late, and wife found me an 05 which she bought me for X-mas of 2004. Big change in the 2005 from the 2003. FORD had worked out most of the problems and the 05 was a fantastic machine. Pulled the RV with no problem, just a good truck and zero problems. Then she bought me the 08 I have now, and this is the first truck I have really become attached to. She bought it loaded so what more can I say and very different in a good way from the 05. I would say this is the best FORD truck I have owned yet, no problems to date, 12000 miles and pulls the RV better than the 05. Just a really good comfortable truck! I made a post a while back about my fuel mileage, but the comments I got back pretty much told me no one believed me so I quit posting about the mileage I got. I am extrememly pleased with this truck and I may keep the truck past the 36,000 mile period. All my other trucks I have driven up to 36,000 miles and turned them in for a newer model. This one may be a keeper.
