Do any of you know if the distributors for the small blocks etc.. fit the 300s? I am looking at replacing my 200,000 mile original with an aftermarket piece and I'm eyeing the Accels. Any ideas? Thanks!!

As far as I know only a 240 or 300 dist. will fit. A v8 will not.

300 inline 6 has 6 cylinders...a v-8 has 8....u do tha math, msd jus to name a few makes aftermartket ignitions for most motors.

Actually, I did do the math. I was just hoping to get lucky and find another maker besides Mallory and I haven't owned a Ford V8 for 7 years so didn't know how similar they are.

240/300 dist will work. the V8's are only good on the V8's due to the 2 extra cylinders

Yeah, I didn't put a whole lot of thought into that question did I?!!! Distributor for six banger fires SIX times; distributor for V8 fires EIGHT times!! Duh
