When I first start my E-350,oil poors from the drivers side of the engine,it looks like its coming from a part attached to the left side of the engine block, the part looks like a metal tube almost the size of the block.Once the engine heats up it pretty much stops leaking, can someone tell me what is this part and why is it leaking, and is it hard to fix, again its a 1990 E-350 box truck, any help would be apprciated,Thanks.

Sounds like the oil cooler is leaking. Have to take the thing off, pull it apart and replace the big O rings in it. Get the rings from International and the gaskets either felpro or ford ( the gaskets for the international cooler are different )
There are four O rings that keep the coolant and oil seperated in the cooler as well as keep both in the cooler.
Not sure how hard it would be to remove it from an E series, on the F series you unbolt the drivers side motor mount and jack the engine up as far as it will go.
That gives you enough room to remove the oil cooler.
Part to rebuild the oil cooler, four O rings and two gaskets are about 50 dollars at Ford.
I knocked mine apart with a hammer using wood blocks to protect the aluminum headers from a direct hammer blow.
I used an arbor press to push it back together.
Most instructions for assembly say to put the O rings in the headers.
I cut every one I tried that way.
I installed the O rings on the cooler tube and coated them with silicone assembly lube as well as the inside of the headers.
Went together without cutting the O rings that time.
