First drive report

I put on a little under 1000 miles on the new rig this week driving around the state putting on trainings. Three people in the cab and about 400 lb of stuff under the tonneau.

Overall very favorable so far. Cab is quiet enough that it is easy to talk back and forth between front and back seats. Made the trip enjoayable since no one had to yell or ask to be repeated. Ride is very good on the highway, somewhat harsher that the Chev was on gravel. Handling is good and it follows the road well. Steers easier than it needs to.

About 1/3 of the trip was at night at 65-70 mph. The daylight driving was at 75-80 mph. Much of the day time driving we had a 10-20 mph wind that we were heading right into or crossing. Averaged 11.7 mpg for whole trip. Better than I expected, not as good as I hoped. Must be just right I guess.

All I will say about power for now is that when I was passing traffic on the way home my wife asked from the back seat if some of my squirrels were AWOL.
