Head Identification

I'm thinking about buying a 460 locally from a guy on craigslist, and I tried to get the casting number info from him for the heads, but the number after the D is missing.

It looks like it was ground off or something. He sent me a picture of the combustion chambers though.

They look like closed chamber heads to me, so I'm guessing they're the D3VE-A2A casting. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

I suspect D3VE-A2A as well

What are the actual date casting digits ?

They are located in the oil galley.

Looks like they may be trying to make some one who isn't familure think they were DOV heads.

Early set of D3VE's...quite a few sets were cast just as pictured. I have a few sets like that. Just another D3VE head, nothing to be alarmed about.

Thanks for the help. I ended up passing on the motor. It had already been bored over .030, and the guy was a little too eager to get rid of it.
