Ok so my buddy has a 2.3L ranger 2wd pickup. And I am wondering if there are performance aftermarket parts for it. I know the 1986 Thunderbirds had a 2.3L turbocharged engine so I thought there must be a place for purchasing parts. Any input in greatly appreciated.

I would also suggest posting the type of parts you are looking for and or what end result you are trying to achieve with your truck. I willing to bet you will get plenty of opinions and facts.
My best advise is to find one in a wrecking yard. That way you have as many of the parts as possible. Just get the whole car. You will probably want the injectors, fuel rail, computer, and all the obvious stuff. It won't completely eliminate the need for fabrication, but it will cut down on the amount of mundane work you have to do. It lets you focus on the important stuff, like making power. I think there were some Mustangs with the 2.3 Supercharged engine as well as some Merkur models.
