I am just quoting what the dealer said and take a look, Ford will sell factory equiped trucks but NOT on their diesels.
On the 2003 MY SD you can install a plow on the PSD per FMC specifications. It depends on bed & cab configurations and is based on front GAWR. page 11

Starting with the 05 MY SD a snowplow can be installed per FMC on All SD trucks. page 28

I'm not accusing you of lying, just your lucky, my truck is just used for highway driving really and rarely even has a trailer on it and still ate them up

I dont mean to start anomosity. I love my Powerstroke. I have to stick with what i have experienced. Chances are, the guys on the line simply didnt add enough grease. Perhaps the tech was in a bad mood that day and hated his employer. Fact is I bought my 04 new because of its strength and reliability. Super Duty in every facet. Right?

Yeah, I've personally only changed them once and went with the moogs, I recently had the oasis report ran on it and saw that the ball joints were already done once before I had the truck

With the Dana 44 originally in mine, ball joints were on the yearly replacement schedule.

With the 60 under it now, going on the third year plowing and still tight.

Since I am in the dirt moving business, moving snow came naturally.
Besides it keeps the money coming my way when I can't see the dirt.
