I did a quick search on this but could not find anything. I might have missed it.
Well I have an 04 EB Excursion with the bench seat in the middle row. My question is the seatbelt (lap Belt) for the middle passenger on the middle seat seems to have gone in to the plastic housing. When you look at it all you see is the plastic housing. My only guess is that the seatbelt reeled in or someone forced it.
Any advice as to how to get it back? Is thiere a way to take the plastic housing out? Any tips would be great.
I had the same thing happen. I got a coat hanger, undid it, and put a small hook in the end. It took me 5 minutes but I was finally able to pull it out. It's in there, trust me.

Good luck, fellow X'n
03PSDX,
Thanks, Ill try that. Do you know what made it go in or what may have caused it? It just seems weird because I have never had that happen before.
I have no idea, but it wouldn't take much to push it back in. I don't know why they didn't put one of those plastic "brackets" on the belt side of the metal. My wife's Yoda even has a cover so that the middle seatbelt doesn't disappear!
Common problem, mine started within a year, I have a metal coat hanger also with a little hook on it stored in the center console and pull it out everytime someone needs the middle seat belt....had 3 car seats in there last month. The plastic housing on it is too larger to stop the belt from retracting and bumping it does not help when it is properly stored. My son has pullled it out with his small finger to show me he can do it only to let it go from 5 ft or so and it snaps back out of reach for both of us....kind of a toy now. I have seen one fixed by installing a large automotive snap/buckle thing that is larger than the plastic housing. I do not like the idea since any hole in the seat belt makes it weaker, would hate to have it fail, would hate to be in an accident that would help it to fail as well though...
