minor oil leak and new grill at 16k,
oil pump regualtor plug and cac boot at 25k,
cam sensor and hpop at 26k,
new turbo and egr valve at 35k,
new fuel pump at 45k.
all recalls are up to date.
Currently Has close to 50k miles. It's currently at the dealer because it wouldn't start and it turned out to be the oil pressure - not sure what they're fixing but I read about that somewhere in here. Seems serious to me. This truck was first registered 1/05.
When I first saw the Oasis report I thought those replacements were things I wouldn't have to worry about for a while. But now that it's in the shop for this, I just got it a month ago, I wonder if it's a lemon?!
I really wanted to keep this truck for the long run - Harley Davidson Edition.
Should I run instead??!! Warranty is available for now, but what about later? If it's having problems this early, I dont' want to think about what it'll bring later.
Thank you for any input!

Reason: Post question.
You have to give us more info first.... Year, Engine (I assume 6.0), what you use it for, type of driving, etc. it is possible that it is still a great truck, just fixxing a few of the problems the 6.0 is known for having. The low oil pressure could be as easy as the HPOP seal that is known for having issues... I have an '04 6.0 and love it....
sorry about that, It's an '05 w/ a 6.0. Mostly easy driving except for hauling my 30' fifth wheel once in a while - which I plan on replacing w/ a smaller toyhauler. Other than that it will be used for commuting.
So you think, the truck is just getting over its "issues"? Is the Turbo replacement any reason for concern? Thx!
sounds like normal things we see, except the cam sensor, I would bet the STC fitting or a branch tube broke and lost high pressure oil, it makes the injectors open and pressurizes the fuel to allow it to enter the comustion chamber. less then 500PSI and the truck will not start. all the parts replaced so far-turbo and EGR can be cleaned and maintained for a much lower cost, although some dealers only replace them and drives the warranty costs way up.
Could the cam sensor and hpop at 26k, be related to this new problem at the dealer? BTW, thank you for easing up my tension - what a relief....
well if the HPOP was warranteed when it was fairly new the tsb for installing the STC bracket was not out then, so they replaced the pump and old styel fitting, now the fitting probably broke. the new one comes w/a bracket and will not let the STC fitting come apart again. keep in mind these fittings hold 5,000psi constantly running under a load..
