Back on track

Well I finally had a whole day to share some time with my 54. For the last few months I have been putting in a lot of over time at work and when not at work I have been busy with my kids (football practice, wrestling practice, etc.). BUT yesterday I spent the entire day body filling, blocking sanding, block sanding, block sanding, and finally primering the right front fender. I felt great to get out into the garage and get something done. But before I could get some work done on the truck I had to make some room in the garage. See about month ago I got one of those HOA reminders that I am not allowed to part my daily driver in the street over night. So I filed that nice little reminder and thought well I will just park inthe driveway and put my daughters little import in the street and then wait for another reminder. I figured a little rotation of cars in the street would confuse them. Then the fines started. Once it reached $100.00 I had to come up with another plan. So the 54 had to scoot over in the garage enough to fit the import into the garage. So now whenever i want to work on the 54 the imports is removed and then the 54 gets rolled out into the drive way. Seems like alot of work just to get some work done on my truck, but they can't defeat me! The 54 will run someday and I can't wait to get another friendly reminder that I am not allowed to leave a classic truck parked in the front yard!

Later,

Matt

I hear ya needhelp49. I sold my place in the country two years ago. I got married and she lived in town. It sounded good at first. Not having to drive 20 miles to the nearest store or auto store. But after 2 yrs of the crap here in the city I'd gladly drive 20+ miles. Just to be able to do what and when I want. 1 more year and my son will be out of school and I'll be back in the country some where. Az I hope where it's warmer in the winter.
