temp gauge

temp gauge on dash went haywire then dropped out of sight, replaced thermostat and temp sensor on intake .. Is there another sensor and is it poosible thats whats wrong with the gauge there is no check engine light... Any Help... 2000 v10

There is a sensor on the back of one of the heads, the CHT sensor (Cylinder-head temp).

When it went haywire, did you have a big loss of power?
