chip for a 300I6
i have an '89 F-150 with the 300 EFI. i recently checked into the chip, but decided against it. i dont remember the brand that had it, but the price was over $200 for only 15 more horsepower. also, you have to run on super premium gas. thats all the info i have. thanks.

Diablo is a company that makes a chip that is featured on this website alot. I would look there first. I have looked into it for my truck and I am not real enthusiastic about putting the kind of money into my truck for what I would get for perf. If you had a diesel I would say do it for sure. The premium gas is a pain I am paying 50 bux a week keeping my truck fed. I would put the cash into an exhaust and a air intake before I would get a chip. I DO plan to get a chip but not soon. I want to get alot of other work done to my truck. Cosmetic as well as internally. I will just get the chip basically to round out the truck. Oh yeah if you contact Diable ask them about custom programming for the 300/6.
