I went to all of the muffler shops to see if they could put a side exhaust system. They can not bend 3 1/2" pipe just 3". I can not find any for sale! Some people purchased parts and welded them together. I guess I will have to do that.

It's 3" from engine to the Cat,,then 3.5" after that,,I found a 3.5" Flowmaster aluminized tail pipe kit (4 pcs) at JEGS,,removed muffler and tailpipe from my 06' PSD, left cat on (Cat has a hanger on it) installed one of the tail pipe kit, angled pipe and have a side exit just behind chrome step, put on a 3.5" stainless tip,,sounds great,,she barks at 2,300 RPM and up.

2 weeks ago I removed the Cat and straight piped it out the side,,(same place)3 days later I put the cat back on,,,Just was to irratating,,sounded great at take off, Jet like,,,but from 2,300 RPM and up was too,,,,,,,,,Glass Pac-ish sounding for me,,maybe straight piped over rear and out in stock location is OK ? Have fun and Good Luck.

You could put a y pipe in 3 1/2" pipe and run two 3" pipes where ever you want.

I think it's more like a 45 degree angle pipe, oh and I did weld on a stainless 10" hanger, and used the stock hanger mount on the truck.

No offense intended here, just a simple question. You want to put a SIDE exhaust system on a DIESEL? I hope you mean out the side behind the rear tires, not in front of. Again I don't mean to offend, it's just that let's face it, diesels put out more soot than a gas, and I would think you would discolor the side of your truck, or spend more time cleaning than driving it.

EDIT:
AFter posting I realize I didn't help with the original question in any way, sorry about that. Have you looked at larger truck facilities for exhaust bending, such as a place that repairs semi's, straight trucks, etc?

I talked to a truck owner on I-95 in Georiga and I was looking at the pipe and noticed it was a diesel! I looked for the soot and there was none. I waited wile my wife was getting lunch and out came the owner. I went over and asked him about his system. He told me to angle the tip and cut the pipe 3" out. I asked him about noise exhaust smell and cab drone because he had no muffler. He said keep the cat and use it for the muffler. He made the system himself and it was very nice. I have to get that system!!! I will get that system. If I ever figure how to post a photo I will show everyone.
