All of this talk of turbo-ing a 300-6 has led me to a question. Since the entire setupis going to have to be custom fabricated, I'm not confined to a specific turbo--therein is the question... Which turbo to use?
-A garrett from a 4cyl turbo coupe t-bird/stang
or
-a garrett(?) from a 7.3 diesel
Both are plentiful on eBay which is where i'd prob. end up purchasing the turbo from. I'm not looking to race the inline 6, but to have that "seperate the house from its foundation" torque.
With the turbo operating off of the exhaust, I don't think the 7.3 turbo would be in excess. Just be sure to increase your fuel intake to balance the air/fuel ratio again.
Twin T-3's from a Turbo Coupe or anything like that would work really great, if you dont want to deal with dual turbos, the Powerstroke turbo should do just nicely.
