Default 302 timing advance
Can someone please tell me the default timing advance for the 302, ie: 5 degrees before TDC?

Probably 8-12° BTDC. Depends on the year and application. What vehicle is this in?

Advance it as far as you can before it starts pinging on hills, and it cranks ok when it's hot. This will give the best mileage and power.

The factory setting for my 80 F150 (302) is 8* BTDC
