I took my truck in the other day to get the hail damage repaired. It was supposed to be done the paintless dent repair, anyways, the guy phoned this afternoon and said the roof could not be repaired that way and he wants to get a new hood for the truck. So I guess I will be waiting for more than a few days to get my truck back.
man, i hope they don't try to replace the roof... i've heard horror stories about that job that unless they are really, really good, they can really screw it up. good luck man. since you got to replace the hood it may be time for a cowl induction hood...
That cowl induction is a good idea, I forgot about that. And you are right sherm, I forgat about the ding in the tailpipe I will have to mention that to him.
Lol funky yeah too bad about having to wait about the truck but there was 98 F150 at merlin auto body had hail damage pulled out all dents except we put on a new hood
I haven't heard back on the hood yet. I hope it doesn't take to long or I may be walking to work for a few days. As for the stack I think I should run it up the left side, i think it would look silly sticking up in the middle.
You can always drive hood less until it`s ready or with the old hood, beats walking depending on the distance and the weather. It can be painted and installed later on.
Interesting that a hood is required but somehow totally believable I suppose.
Don`t throw away the old hood just yet, it may come in handy!
I noticed a brand new unused unpainted custom cowl induction hood for sale awhile back for around $995. I can not remember for sure where except it may have been on http://saskatoon.kijiji.ca/
