throttle plate?

throttle plate?
ok i was working on the truck the other night and I pulled off the elbow to do the throttel body removal and I saw there was no butterfly, Is this normal in the 03's? dose it even pay to remove the body of it when there is no butterfly plate to work it anyways? Not like this is serious and I don't know if it is needed anyways but just questioning why I don't have one?

i'm pretty sure they are supposed to have them. my 04 had one until i removed it. i have an aftermarked elbow for an 04 so i left the plate on. you can remove the body if you plan to get an elbow for an 05 or later. i believe that's right someone correct me if i'm wrong.
