you may have all ready done this put a block of some sort between the bumpstop and the rear axle housing to keep the rear of the truck from squating and hang some tractor weights off the front to keep things level.this will help on take off also.ITS ADDICTING ISIN'T.
OK I have some imput. Now I have done quite well for my heavy Crew Cab (265') and it being a gasser and stock gears. Depending on your weight class and how they set it up. Your probably in the stock class. Most will let exhaust and tuner mods fly for this class. If you are under the max weight get some hanging weights up front. Second do the rear bump stop drop like suggested. As for leaving the starting line here is a few tips, I know they are coming from a gasser but I have driven a few diesels for buddies that could not make the weight and need some one lighter to drive their truck. Once you have the green light/flag, hold your foot on the breaks and allow the truck to spool up. Once your boost gets up there slowly let of the break and once you get rolling with out the hop hammer it. If you feel your hopping too bad let off the gas some but not all the way. Remember the sled does not have the ability to stop so it will run into you. Wheel speed is your friend. I only pull in first with my truck but I might try second at my next pull. If your local track has a test and tune go out and play. Try running different gears, ie 1st or 2nd on your shifter. Also remember what you spooled up to, how much boost and rpms.
I wouold also suggest you sign up on Competition Diesel Forums Those guys are a wealth of knowlage and should be able to help you get that truck to a full pull.
Hope that helped. Here is me pulling 265' first time ever, and I have not looked back. Pulling the sled 265'
