Front Heat Problem

I have a 1999 Expedition. I am haveing front heat problems. I had the heater core flushed and checked, I have checked the Blend Door and it seems fine.I replaced the Blend door actuator although I don't think I needed to. By accident the other night I happened to turn the control to Panel and I turned the temp **** to red and I got the best heat that I have had in along time. I am pretty sure that the blend door is working because I can go from hot to cold and back and everything seems to work as long as I have it on Panel. When I turn it to Heat It is warm for a minute and then goes cold . Any Help would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunatley I am of no help right now, but if it makes you feel any better I am having similar issues.

My front heat is intermittently cold when the rear heat is hot. Simply turn the heat off and on a few times and boom I have heat in the front. I can hear the flaps working when I blend from panel to floor etc. as well.

Sounds like both of you need new blend doors...

I found a somewhat lame schematic...Where is the part I need?? Sorry about the size but otherwise you would not be able to read it.

You need number 16 temp control frame ***.. I was able to get mine at the dealer for about $30 and they had it on hand. They had trouble finding it and found it listed through the service department and it was just called a frame assembly.
