Question Headliner kits?????

Looking for different websites to find a quality headliner for my 51-52 F-100? Seems alot of the sites have nothing but the same cardboard type. Any ideas other than an apholstry shop?

Welcome to the board!!

You could always try your hand at making your own. Recently another FTE member sent me a .pdf file of a drawing of the headliner dimensions as well as numerous pics.

I haven't tried to build mine yet but its one of the things on my "to do" list

We're glad you stumbled into our corner of the world, you'll find tons of friendly and smart folks here that are more than willing to help you out. Tell a bit about your project and when you get a chance get a gallery set up so we can see some pics of it. We like pics around here.

Hey Dawg,

You have to set your priorities if you are ever going to get anything done. I recently reset my priorities and moved my "To Do" list up a notch. Now its a few steps farther up than the ".....someday....." list

(if I could just find some way of knocking "procrastination" down a few pegs just think of what I could do!!)

Bobby, there is an organization to help you with that. It's called "PA" (Procrastinators Anonymous). I was going to join but just never got around to it.

I like Rod Doors a lot. It makes it possible for average folk to produce professional results. It makes you feel good when people ask "Who did your interior?" Jag

This may not be what you are after, but I also did not care for the stock grey cardboard look. I found a 'stone texture' paint at Wally World that had very high solids and a tone on tone look. (In my case, blue for the Banner Blue body paint).
About 3 coats of this on the panels, 2 coats of clear satin acrylic, and she looks great.

I ran the bow type headliner years ago. My upholsterer at the time did it. If for some reason you get a small tear(accidents do happen) you'll be wearing that headliner for a necktie. Go with the hard one, you'll thank us later. Besides you CAN glue other material to the cardboard which is basically what Roddoors does, except with plastic

I do check out my gallery, I don't know how to put pics in a thread? I did the interior myself, but I am an upholster by trade
