Stationary engine?

I'll do it! I'll swap out my truck's original 330 for a 390. I wish to keep the 330 for spares or if the 390 doesn't work out.

My question is how do you store a stationery engine?

You are in for some interchangeabilty issues going from the FT 330 to the FE 390. Check it out first....

Store the engine? In the bathtub on some towels so you don't crush or scratch the pan and it doesn't tip over and spills are contained.

I don't beleive I'll have much of an issue with the conversion. I have a '79 one ton that has the 330 engine. I purchased a '78 one ton that has low mileage 390 engine with power steering. Both trucks have a manual 4 speed trans. I'll swap out the low mileage trans aswell.
I'll need to swap out the motor mounts, and whatever else will be there to take.
