96' 350 Acting Up
For the third day in a row, My truck has been acting up in the morning. It has been getting into the upper 30's here at night. On the first day, I thought maybe the fuel had gelled. I dumped some diesel 911 in and It was fine. The next morning it did the same thing. I didnt let it warm up as much, and it started sputtering and puking about 1 min after I left the house. It is hard to start, and when it does start you really have to lay into the gas to keep it running. By the time I limp the truck home, It idles rough for about 2 minutes and then clears up and is fine the rest of the day. Today I didnt get out of the little area where we live and she died again. This time the abs light flashed and the CEL came on. I limped it home and then it ran fine. The CEL stayed on until I shut the truck off and then turned it back on. I just came home to type this and the truck ran fine. Anyone have any suggestions? The only things I have done to the truck are unplug the ebpv and added a 6637 filter setup. The Ebpv has a plug in the harness to keep dirt and stuff out. I got it from puredieselpower.com I think. Truck has 245k, It is due for an oil change in about 500 miles, It seems to be in an acceptable level though. The fuel filter hasn't been changed in a while so I think I will pick one up today, I dont think that is it because of the CEL Light. The CPS Is only about 18 months old. It is a ford part, not the updated blue one. The tach does move when cranking. So I have ruled that out.
Thanks
Derek
P.S. Last weekend I changed the batteries and the GPR
