1983 torque/hp specs
I happen to have the '84 spec sitting under my keyboard: 120 hp @ 3200 and 245 ft lbs @ 1600. The 1983 engine is probably the same.

Whoops, I should have looked that up last night and for '84. By the way I have this from a Ford van Chilton Manual, not pickups. I'll make a note and get back with it tomorrow.

Not sure why I have a copy of the Van engine stats, but maybe my library didn't have the older pickup manual. Anyway, the Chilton van book says the 1983 inline 300 cid six had 120 hp @ 3200 and 251 ft lbs @ 1600 with a compression ratio of 8.4:1.
