Winter Additives:
The snow is getting ready to fly here. On all my previous vechicles ( gas ) I always ran some isopropanol in the tank before winter. After that, every tank or two I would add some more. In a bind I would use it straight from the grocery store, but I typically ran the Heet or Stabile(sp?) brand depending on what was on sale. I have been searching the forum for what others run, and have proceeded into information overload ( lubricity, cetane increase, acetone, oil, .... ). Two questions:
Should I normally be running something?
and
What would one recommend for winter?
The local truck repair guy really was pushing the 'Diesel 911' product, but I am always leery of high pressure sales.
