I live about 2 hours away, 2.5 by old truck. Have been there many times but not in the last 4 years. Sounds like a reason to go again!!

We have a camp site picked out, thanks to the hard work of jimmyb08SD from the Pennsylvania chapter, a camper himself.

CLICK PIC OR BELOW

http://www.westernvillagervpark.com/menu.htm

Located 3 miles from the Carlisle Fair Grounds

20 camp sites and 4 cabins will be reserved in the name of:

MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCK ENTHUSIASTS

BE SURE YOU MENTION THIS NAME WHEN RESERVING YOUR CAMP SITE OR CABIN!!!!!!

The sites WILL FILL UP FAST, so don't delay in making your reservations!

Thanks again JimmyB.

MEMBERS, NEED HELP PICKING A HOTEL/MOTEL FOR THE MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCK MEET, AUGUST 8--10, 2008, ALL TRUCK NATIONALS within 20 miles of Carlisle, PA.

Either post up a suggestion, send me a PM or email me at glruffde at yahoo.com.

One of the PA members, jimmyb08SD, has already helped me with setting up the campsite. Now we need a recommendation for a motel/hotel.

Would like to get the rooms reserved by January 15th.

Campground

glruff, I spoke with the campgrounds today, and they confirmed that they do have 20 sites and 4 cabins still available. They said they recommend each individual call and make their reservation ASAP, they are going to try to keep us as close together as posible, but there are some factors that will play in, like Tent campers, Trailer size, if you have a tilt out, and what amenities you want (electric, water, sewage, etc.), also how quickly you make your reservations. To date there have been 2 sites reserved under the Mid-Atlantic FTE, I am one of them, and one other. Anyone wanting a cabin should make it a priority to call right away, because they only have 4, and they will fill up quickly. The Contact person at the campground is Bonnie, she will be out on Wed. and Thur. but will be back on Fri 1/11/08

So anyone that wants to camp with us, please dont drag your feet, they say the campground always is full for this weekend!!

Ps anyone who makes a reservation please post on here that you are in so we can keep a tally!
Thanks, jimmyb08SD

I asked my wife and daughter to check out rates for a couple of hotels in the area. They work for the Hilton and Holiday Inn. I don't think they will get the employee rate but they may be able to get us a reduced rate if we can guarantee so many room reservations.

George, Jimmy, thanks for being on top of this.

Mid-Atlantic region rules.

Glad to help out! Im sure we will all have a great time!

Also we are planning a G2G in the Pittsburgh area, hopefully on Jan 26th or 27th. We have a local Soldier coming home on leave, and leaving for Iraq on Feb. 5th, and he would like to come. Anyone is welcome, and even if you can't come stop over to the thread and give him your support!

Do we have any registration details, and how soon we will need to be registered for the show?

Does anyone have a count of confirmed registrations?

If we dont have the 25 are we still planning on having the site?

I will give it a few more weeks and then I will contact the campgrounds for a count of reservations under FTE. Then I will update a few times a month as we get closer.

It looks like we have 30 who say they will register so YES we will have a tent provided for us at the ATN.

Joe, Soondg is working on the motel as soon as this is confirmed, I will post it.

The registration link is in the first post, but I will post all of the details soon.

In the meantime, I need each one to PM or email me their Name, address and cell or tel. no. so I can send information direct.

Will we be getting the 5+ $33.00 discount as a group? When I filled out the form it priced it as $40.00. Do we have a promotion code to enter?

No, the discount on the form is if you yourself take more that one vehicle and register each vehicle. Registration for all activities will be available at the event, but all registration fees will increase $10 after July 21, 2008.

By pre-registering I think it said you receive a discount coupon to be used at the show.
