carb question

will a 4bbl edelbrock carb fit on a 390? im taking it off my 302, it looks like it well fit but i dunno,

depending on the jetting ..it will probably work even better.

IIRC, Ford bolt patterns as I remember are the same throughout all engine families

4bbl to 4 bbl

and

2bbl to 2bbl

if for some reason it has that spread bore carb where the primaries are small and the secondaries are big, you can use mr gasket p# 1932 adapter to fit. i have one on my 460 to adapt a 750 holley.

Not always so. Early 460's had Quadrajunk spreadbores, then later the autolite disaster.
