I was looking online (ebay) for a cheap t3 turbo for my truck, found quite a few, but i also saw these elctric "blowers" that claim 220+ cu ft/min. would it be worth it for $50 or so, for a little extra boost at partial throttle and wot? prolly will just go with the turbo, just the fabrication part is scaring me
Those litle buggers dont do crap except for block the intake and add turbulence. I'd like to see a real dyno sheet for on of those, cause there's no way it would work. Super- or turbocharging involves compressing air so that more air goes in at once, instead of jsut moving it faster.
I would not waste the money on one. I know a guy on another forum who used one in his Probe and with the rattling that happens naturally in the engine it literally broke apart in his intake and destroyed his engine.
I would not use it if it were given to me. Maybe for in the cab if my A/C took a crap.
